The Islanders Hot Club (Le Hot Club des Insulaires) has been entertaining fans since 2019 and has performed at many Francophone (and Anglophone!) events and concerts around Victoria and Vancouver Island. The group is co-led by double bassist Tim Croft and guitarist Nick Mintenko. The co-leaders also double on vocals (singing in English and en français!).
These experienced players re-live the classic era of French and Gypsy Swing music. With modern arrangements and melodic grooves; this trio (sometimes quartet) of vagabonds keeps it swinging all night long. |
